Thursday 30th May - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy with
some light rain:(
After yesterday sunshine we were back to a cloudy day with some light rain
and not overly warm either, Arlo the Grandson was up again at 5.30 but he
spent the time with Mag as I did not hear him! I made pancakes again for
the third day I a row before playing a board game that Arlo had made which
did seem impossible to win! As Arlo and his Dad were booked into Felixstowe
swimming pool for an hour on the inflatables at one we had a bit of time so
drove the short distance to The Manor for a walk through Landguard Nature
Reserve with Arlo on his bike, lovely and quiet. Landguard is a great place
for a seven year old to bike with long straight paths to whizz along! There
is some lovely wild flowers which did their best to brighten the day, we
even spotted a few rabbits. Then around to the new path by the old pier
where Arlo played in an old gun emplacement and I got some OK pics and was
lucky enough to get one on ITV’s About Anglia, if you look closely you
can see Rob and Mag:)There was a few yachts on the Orwell and we saw the
Harwich lifeboat return. Then back to the car and home inn time for a quick
lunch. Mag and I then had to walk up the town for even more food shopping,
then home for a rest as having company is exhausting but lovely too:)
